In May 2018 the Data Protection Act was replaced by the General Data Protection Regulations. (GDPR). The changes to the General Protection Act are aimed at insuring that your personal, confidential and sometimes sensitive data, is held privately and securely.
The NCH which I am a member of has advised that I should keep your written records stored securely for 8 years.
GDPR rules state you can request in writing for your records to be destroyed at any time.
In line with GDPR you can request a copy of your records within 30 days of Initial consultation
We collect information to enhance the work we are doing with the client
I will be keeping paper copies of any written notes locked in a cabinet. All records stored on any electronic devices will be password protected
All our discussions in the session are kept confidential between client and myself, unless I need support from my supervisor, or I believe that you are about to harm yourself or another
Anything that is discussed within the Hypnotherapy session is kept in the session, we will never discuss any treatment outside of the appointment time.
I will only share information with your written consent
