How is Anxiety caused?

By Christine Courtney

Anxiety is caused by negative thinking. It’s not what we see that makes us feel anxious it is how we think about what we see, our own perceptions of things happening.  An example would be when you see a couple of work colleagues whispering to each other, and immediately you think that they are talking about you! This is what happens when we are thinking from our emotional,  primitive part of the brain. The longer we stay in the primitive part the longer we will a see things in the worst possible light. Leading to more anxiety and stress.

So we need to be thinking from our intellectual, rational part of the brain where we will be happy, and able to handle any daily stress with ease!
